Intro to Photography Part 2: Week 1, "Fun with throw-away cameras."

I consider this to be a great exercise since the only thing you can control with these primitive cameras is composition.

Every Intro to Photography class gets an assignment where they go and hunt for "letters". Below is the best work I've seen so far!

Can you "read" the letters? Cindy was able to find the whole alphabet! This exercise is great for developing the student's eye and composition skills.

WOW. can't believe I haven't posted in so long. Here at the website, I'm going to post more of my students work as I teach photography classes. Have lot's built up that I need to place on here. Here are some recent comments I received from the Advanced Photography class that just ended at ACTC in Ashland KY:

"Instructor is very knowledgeable. Love her style-shows you hot to do things without spending a lot."

"J.Bird is a great photographer. Will definitely take more classes from her!"

"J.Bird is a very fun, knowledgeable teacher."

"It is very hands-on. J.Bird helps any way she can with questions."

Not trying to toot my own horn here but I think keeping track of feedback is a wonderful tool to attract more students!
